From Our Kitchen to Your Heart

At Casa Gourmet by Gabriel, we’re more than just a home bakery; we’re a family that pours love, tradition, and a dash of creativity into every sweet creation.

Founded during a period of global uncertainty, a time when many sought comfort and connection, our kitchen became a sanctuary. What began as a way to nurture our own spirits and perhaps earn a little extra has blossomed into a space where we craft moments of joy. From the deeply satisfying chew of our brownies to the light and airy perfection of our gluten-free cakes, each recipe is lovingly handmade. Our aim is simple: to share a little bit of happiness and deliciousness with our community, one heartfelt bite at a time.

Our Story

During the pandemic, Gabriel, his sister, and his mother all suffered from anxiety. Everyone was living in great uncertainty, and a psychologist recommended that we find a family hobby to help lower stress levels. We started cooking, since the heart of our home has always been the kitchen. We realized that, instead of playing board games, what truly made us happy was cooking for others.

We remember how we began preparing small packages of cookies and brownies with positive notes for our family and friends. Out of fear of contagion, we would leave them outside their houses. Then came the idea—since they were so good, our friends encouraged us to sell them. That’s when Gabriel further developed his passion for cooking and decided to donate part of his profits to children with cancer, while also paying for his own spanish and math tutoring.

For Gabriel, the kitchen has always been a place of learning. It has helped him develop creativity and even improve in math, as he had to learn fractions and measure ingredients in grams and ounces.

Social Responsability

Since childhood, Gabriel has been connected to hospitals due to being born with a kidney condition, and our family has also faced the reality of having a cousin with leukemia. These experiences inspired a strong desire to give back, which is now at the core of our mission. That is why we donate 30% of our profits to CONANCA, helping provide essential foods such as rice, beans, and oil for parents staying in shelters while their children receive critical cancer treatments at the public hospital. For us, baking is more than creating something sweet—it is a way to nurture hope, share love, and bring meaningful support during life’s most challenging moments.

Our Recipes

Our products are an ode to our grandmothers and the culinary traditions of our family. Each bite is a trip back to childhood memories—tasting a warm pudding, grating citrus for meringues, or enjoying the aroma of fresh cookies. We are proud to share these flavors and carefully select each product to delight our customers.

At Casa Gourmet, we use only the highest-quality ingredients, which makes our brownies, cookies, and cakes so sought-after. We also realized that many children with diabetes and celiac disease had very few sweet options available to them. So, we learned to use natural substitutes for sugar and gluten, achieving great success in making these children—and adults—happy.

Our menu blends tradition with creativity. We offer a wide variety of cookies. The most popular ones are the Cornflake cookies for their crunchiness, and the Chocolate Chip cookies—because, let’s face it, everyone loves chocolate. Also, our butter cookies are a timeless classic; but we always strive to innovate, which is why we’ve introduced pound cakes in different flavors, such as banana, lemon, and orange. However, our brownies are our best-selling product.

Gabriel has always been generous, big-hearted, and very social, loved by his friends. Now 18 years old, he has overcome challenges such as attention deficit, dyslexia, and dyscalculia. With the help of specialists and tutors for over 13 years, he decided to support his mother by paying for tutoring with his own sales.

For Gabriel, cooking has been a source of self-motivation. From a young age, it gave him skills that built his self-confidence and taught him that he could achieve anything with practice and persistence. He embraced trial and error, never gave up, and developed resilience that has helped him in life.

Cooking also brings him joy—because when someone tells him his cookies are divine, he is truly happy!
